Whaldenson Ismé has been enrolled in Nations Help’s programs since 2018 and is part of our base in Haiti. From the very beginning of his life, Whaldenson faced immense challenges, lacking even the most basic necessities.
In addition to living in scarcity, he also had to endure the loss of his mother, who passed away when he was just five years old. Ezechiel, the leader of Nations Help in Haiti, learned about Whaldenson’s situation and, moved by the compassion of the Lord, adopted him and registered him in the Project.
From that moment on, thanks to God and through the support of sponsorship, Whaldenson gained access to essential rights such as food, education, and a safe home—allowing him to grow both physically and spiritually.
Since his adoption, Whaldenson has grown significantly and is now 12 years old. Walking alongside Ezechiel, he has learned about Christ and developed a personal relationship with the Heavenly Father, making prayer and Bible reading a daily priority.
Those who know Whaldenson recognize his love and excellence as some of his most remarkable traits—whether reflected in his good grades at school or in his active involvement at the Project’s base. There, he serves as a children’s ministry leader and inspires other kids to seek the Lord.
Whaldenson is a multi-talented boy, gifted in both sports and the arts. One of his biggest dreams is to become a doctor so he can bless the people of his nation. He loves playing soccer and is also taking music lessons to help lead worship during church services.
In addition, he is dedicating himself to learning new languages—currently studying both English and Portuguese. All these opportunities have been made possible through child sponsorship, and the transformation he is experiencing is largely the result of intercession and the compassionate service of God’s people.
Whaldenson’s journey—from orphanhood to adoption—is a beautiful expression of God’s love and reflects His desire to reveal Himself to humanity and restore our original identity: to be beloved children, made in the image of the Creator. Whaldenson has been living this truth, and we believe that day by day, he will walk more deeply in the Lord’s plans for his life, bringing impact to his nation.
