Between March 2 and 12, 2025, we conducted a mission trip to the city of Seam Reap, the third largest city in Cambodia, with a team of five people—three Brazilians (a pastor and two dentists) and two Americans (a pastor and a videographer), representing three churches.
Seam Reap has 200,000 inhabitants and receives approximately 6 million tourists annually. This mission was marked by important accomplishments and spiritual guidance that strengthened our work in the mission field and brought significant fruits for the Kingdom of God.
Cambodia is a predominantly Buddhist country with a strong Hindu influence and a population of approximately 17 million people. It is estimated that only 1.5% of the population is Christian—a number that may be even lower.
This is just one of the challenges since churches are mostly concentrated in urban areas, leaving villages without spiritual and missionary coverage. Despite many obstacles, by the strength of the Lord, we achieved the following results:
– Distributed 150 oral hygiene kits;
– Performed 314 dental procedures on 87 people—including 47 children assisted by the “Girls of the Eyes of God” project;
– Participated in two moments of ministry of the Word for workers and children of the project;
– Visited two floating villages—Kompong Khleang and Tonlé Sap—where we established contacts for future missionary actions;
– Strengthened the bond with missionary Jessica Venâncio, sent by the AD church of Campos in partnership with Nations Help;
– Held strategic meetings with local leaders to structure a child relief operation aiming to invest USD 300 per rescued child and USD 30 for human trafficking prevention programs.
During the trip, we also sowed seeds of love and generosity by giving offerings to missionaries and workers who dedicate their lives to God’s work in Cambodia. These offerings were gestures of gratitude and support, strengthening the missionary work in the region.
We thank every church and person who supported us in prayer and resources. We returned to Brazil certain that there is still much to be done and that it is our mission to make this “cry” of urgency reach more and more people.
When you regularly give offerings or sponsor a child, your generosity helps us make the work in Cambodia broader and more sustainable, reaching more children and families with new life opportunities and the power of the Gospel.
