When we walk in alignment with God’s will on earth, there are divine connections. Miriam Frederick is in Brazil to minister at the Prophetic Conference of Clamor 2018, which will take place in Belo Horizonte, at Lagoinha Baptist Church. She is a missionary nurse who has impacted the compassion of Christ in the lives of thousands of highly vulnerable children in Haiti. Miriam is the founder of New Life 4 Kids, a partner of Nations Help. Together we have manifested the love of Christ in places we never imagined.
I met Miriam in 2012 at an orphanage, on the outskirts of Port-au-Prince, Haiti’s capital. I and a team were helping orphans when she arrived with her group. She was there to check if her donations made the previous day had been given to the children. After this meeting, she invited me to get to know the actions of New Life 4 Kids in Port-au-Prince and in the interior of the country. I was facing one of the main views of the heavens raised to touch the children who are dying in Haiti, one of the poorest countries in the world.
Miriam is a voice to those who have no voice. She helps those whom no one sees. Her hands touch the untouched. She is food for those who have no food; remedy for the sickest; mother and father to orphans; love for the forgotten; the witness of Christ, to the totally hopeless; justice for the most wronged. My personal life and my calling have been impacted by the life of this woman filled with God’s compassion in her heart.
For Brazil, the arrival of Miriam is a privilege. For the Brazilian church, it is the encounter with a living witness of the acts of justice of the bride. An opportunity for our eyes to be opened, our hearts to be burned, our selfishness and individualism to be shattered, our life of prayer to be transformed. May we be burned together by the anointing of God that is upon the life of this woman.
Nations Help operates monthly in partnership with New Life 4 Kids in nutrition programs for children and people in the mountains near the city of Pestel in the interior of Haiti and in the support of children rescued for the base in Port-au-Prince.
