Hello! My name is Silvain Richenaida. I live in the neighborhood of Waff Jeremié (Cité Soleil), one of the largest and most dangerous favela complexes in Port-au-Prince. My father left me still in my mother’s womb. Today I live with my mother who sells offal in the streets to help support the house. I like to study and my favorite subject is French. I love to dance and my biggest dream is to be a nurse to work and help my mother and also to help the sick children of Cité Soleil, where I live. My mother and I entered the Nations Help programs to receive food aid, school help and my mother will participate in the handicraft workshops that will generate income for our family.
