Understand a little more about Nations Help
In 2007, while attending a course at the Haggai Institute in the United States, founder Leonardo Paulino experienced a profound calling. Overwhelmed by compassion, he felt the Holy Spirit speak to him: “I have called you to help my dying children across the nations.”
Determined to act, Leonardo spent the next two years writing a vision and carefully planning an organization dedicated to serving vulnerable children worldwide.
Establishing a Mission
In 2010, following a dream, he traveled to Haiti—the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere—where he witnessed the devastating effects of the recent earthquake. Among the hardship, he encountered highly vulnerable children and felt compelled to take action. Partnering with Ezechiel, a young man equally committed to serving children, he launched relief efforts, establishing a lasting connection with the people of Haiti.
By 2011, Nations Help was officially founded. Aid efforts in Haiti expanded, leading to collaborations with initiatives like Arte que Salva, a project leveraging children’s artwork to generate funds for humanitarian relief. Thanks to a single exhibition in Belo Horizonte Brazil, over 100 children in Port-au-Prince were supported for two years.
Expanding the Reach
In the years that followed, the mission grew beyond Haiti. Leonardo’s travels led him to Cambodia, where widespread poverty and childhood abuse urgently required intervention.
In 2012, relief operations continued with a deeper partnership with New Life 4 Kids, an American child welfare organization. During a visit to Haiti’s remote mountain villages, Leonardo and his team discovered children suffering from extreme hunger and disease. Determined to act, they initiated rescue operations, providing care and shelter for the most vulnerable.
Commitment to Sustainability
In 2014, the organization solidified its approach—prioritizing not just child rescue but long-term care within their families whenever possible. Through programs in nutrition, education, housing, Bible training, and social development, Nations Help established a sustainable model for transforming lives.
Over the following years, the mission expanded to Cambodia, Paraguay, Brazil, Venezuela and Pakistan addressing exploitation, extreme poverty, and child labor through partnerships and direct intervention.
Looking Forward
From its humble beginnings to its growing global impact, Nations Help remains committed to rescuing and empowering children, guided by faith, compassion, and a mission to bring hope to the most vulnerable.
