Hello! My name is Dieufet Maturain. I currently live in the neighborhood of Waff Jeremié (Cité Soleil). The place where I live is one of the largest and most dangerous slum complexes in Port-au-Prince, but God has kept us. My father died in the earthquake of 2010 when I was only 1 year old. Today I live with my mother who is currently unemployed. I really enjoy studying and Kreyol (Creole Language) is my favorite subject. My biggest dream is to be a doctor to help sick children in Waf-Jeremie, a neighborhood that needs more help in this area. Currently, my mother and I entered the Nations Help programs, receiving help with a decent monthly feed, school aid and income generation in the handicraft workshops that will generate income for my family.
