I was born on October 9th of 2019.
Hi, my name is Elianise Lovekencia and I am only 6 months old. I was born premature, at the 7thmonth of my mom’s pregnancy, but, sadly, my mom died after my birth.
Disappointingly, in addition to the loss of my mother, I was also abandoned by my father. My maternal grandmother took me in and has been taking care of me, unfortunately though, due to our impoverished condition, my nutrition is very deficient, as the little income she makes selling small things on the streets is very limited. Because of this, my health condition became very serious and I had to be hospitalized.
At the hospital, funded by missionary Marileide, leader of Nations Help in Haiti, I received all of the required care, including serum and intravenous medication. This hospital serves children for a lower price, but even so, my grandmother doesn’t have the means to pay for it. Thank God, Nations Help’s team heard of my situation and went to visit me at the hospital, and from that day on, I have been embraced by them and now I am part of their Rescue Project. My health has improved and I don’t have a fever anymore, however, I still need a lot of care and don’t know when I will be released from the hospital.
