Hello! My name is Stesi Legen. I live in the neighborhood of Waff Jeremié (Cité Soleil), one of the largest and most dangerous favela complexes in the city of Port-au-Prince. I live with my grandmother because I have nowhere to live with my parents, and my grandmother helps a lot in raising me. Today my parents find themselves unemployed due to high unemployment in the country. I am a shy child, but when someone conquers my trust I am very affectionate and receptive. What I like to do most is to study and be photographed by the missionaries when they go to my church. My family and I have received help from Nations Help to have a dignified diet, school tutoring, health care and income generation with the handicraft workshops that will generate income for my family.
