Hello! My name is Marceline Alexis. When I was only 12 months old, I came to New Life from the Pestel area. My mother abandoned me and my grandmother tried, but she could not take care of me. I was dying slowly of malnutrition, and I was covered in mange. I was so malnourished that all my bones were showing! I spent 3 months in the hospital trying to restore my health. When I first came to New Life, I could not walk or talk, and although I was really thin, I am now one of the tallest children of New Life! It makes me happy to play with the other kids here.
