Hello! My name is Isabella and not much is known about my origins, but I was found abandoned at the General Hospital in Port-au-Prince, right after the devastating earthquake in 2010. My face was destroyed and it is believed that a piece of concrete fell on my head. I was brought to the New Life House in July 2010, and could barely eat. They think I have cerebral palsy and that has hindered my development as well. The good news is that my health has improved a lot here in New Life. Eating is still difficult for me and is only possible if I’m leaning backwards and if the food is soft.
