Hello! My name is Jean Desir and in 2007, at the age of five, my parents brought me to a medical clinic in Pestel. I was in such a desperate state that they were afraid that I would die soon. I was very weak and suffered from tuberculosis and malnutrition. My body was covered with large lumps and I badly survived eighteen hours of jeep and boat travel, but soon I realized that God had a plan for me! I am very happy to be here and thank God for His love for me through the New Life team. Since I’ve been here, I’ve grown strong and healthy. I like school and my favorite subject is grammar. I love being well enough to play with all the other kids, especially playing soccer. When I grow up, I want to be a famous soccer player and also a pastor. With your help, through Nations Help, I will be able to continue to grow and become all that God has designed for me to be!
